Justin Dodge

Founder of Safari the Globe

Justin Dodge is an avid traveler and this interest sparked the founding of Safari the Globe. Justin is from state of Wisconsin, in the United States and as a child frequently traveled around the U.S.A., particularly to Florida and Illinois, where much of his family lives. His first trip outside the United States was in 1999, when he traveled to Canada with his family.

Despite his trip to Canada, Justin's addiction to traveling didn't truly begin until 2003, his next trip abroad, when he went to Kenya and Tanzania to scale Mt. Kilimanjaro. It was the vast differences in culture, food, scenery, and wildlife that hooked him on travel and truly began his adventures.

Since 2003, Justin has traveled extensively throughout the world, with each trip taking on a different form of travel. He has lived, worked, and studied abroad; he has also traveled abroad solely for business meetings and on other occasions only for pleasure. He has gone on organized day and week-long tours, backpacked for weeks at a time without a shower, cruised the oceans in style, and gotten utterly lost in the mountains after hitch hiking the lonely streets of the Caucus Mountains.

Much like the diversity of his style of travel, Justin's destinations have been nearly as unique. He has been to over 40 countries (plus some "countries" that don't exist) on four different continents, including trips to the Far East, Southeast Asia, Southern Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, nearly every corner of Europe, English-speaking Continental North America, the Caribbean and Hispanic America.

In addition to traveling, Justin helps manage his brother's website, which is about everything Disney®, enjoys playing and watching sports, and is constantly finding a new and seemingly ridiculous quest. These ventures have led him to become a Guinness World Records™ Record holder, a Zamboni® driver, and a street performer.
