As a visitor to Luxembourg, try to follow the lead of the locals by being modest, dressing in like manner (see below for details), dining in the local etiquette (see our Luxembourg Dining & Food Page), and avoiding sensitive conversation topics such as politics, finances, and business unless initiated by your local counterpart.
Dress
The traditional dress in Luxembourg is similar to that of neighboring countries, which generally meant women wore dresses and men wore shirts and pants. Today this traditional dress has made way for modern western-styled clothing similar to that found throughout much of the world.
As a visitor to Luxembourg you are free to wear just about any western-styled clothing, but do dress for the occasion. Dining out, business settings, and churches are require more conservative and formal clothing, while just wandering around a city as a tourist means just about anything is acceptable clothing so long as it's not too revealing.
