San Francisco
San Francisco's Painted Ladies
San Francisco is home to the best known bridge in the world; stretching nearly 2 miles (2.75 kilometers), the Golden Gate Bridge is a sight to behold! Of course there's more to see in San Francisco than just the bridge, including the famous Alcatraz Prison and the Victorian houses, known as the Painted Ladies.
Los Angeles
Los Angeles, or LA, is among the most well-known cities in the US, in part thanks to its urban sprawl, which includes Hollywood, Malibu, and Santa Monica. Among my favorite places in the Los Angeles area are the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Dolby Theater (The Academy Awards venue), and amusement parks such as the Disneyland and Pacific Park. One can also enjoy shopping on Rodeo Drive, touring Beverly Hills, or relaxing in one of the high end nightspots; you might even see a celebrity or two.
Las Vegas
Las Vegas
Widely known as "Sin City," Las Vegas is where you'll find world class casinos and entertainment. If you have sampled enough culinary delights from the top chefs in the city and had enough of the music and drinks for the night, you may want to head over to the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef, the Neon Museum, or the nearby Red Rock Canyon.
Grand Canyon
Located in the state of Arizona, this breath-taking canyon stretches over 275 miles (425 kilometers) and is about 6,000 feet (1,800 meters) at its deepest. This is truly among the most impressive of the many world wonders and makes a trip to Arizona well worth any visitor's time.
Yellowstone National Park
This is the world's oldest national park and it occupies land in three states. Recognized as a world heritage site, the park boasts an incredible natural environment filled with fascinating geysers, bubbling hot-springs, and amazing wildlife. The hiking trails traverse the park and stretch for miles.
